Legally compliant and sustainable recycling of plastic waste

Even under the new European regulations governing the shipment and recovery of waste, we remain your reliable partner for the acceptance and recycling of plastic waste.

When the new EU regulations take effect on May 21, 2026, we will continue to meet all relevant legal requirements for the acceptance, treatment, and material recovery of suitable plastic waste.

Thanks to our modern processing and recycling methods, we are able to produce high-quality recycled materials from plastic waste and use them to manufacture new products or raw materials. In this way, we actively contribute to the circular economy and the sustainable use of resources.

Future-proof recycling

Our processes are designed to reliably meet the requirements of current and future European environmental legislation. This means that even after May 21, 2026, our customers can be confident that their plastic waste will be properly collected, recycled, and returned to the recycling loop.

Basel Convention

This Convention regulates the transboundary movement of hazardous wastes and their disposal. Its aim is to reduce the transboundary movement of hazardous wastes and to ensure their environmentally sound disposal.

Regulation (EC) No. 1013/2006 on the shipment of waste (VVA)

This is the central European regulatory framework for the WFD. It implements the provisions of the Basel Convention within the EU and governs the procedures for the shipment of waste within the EU, as well as shipments to and from third countries. The WFD distinguishes between waste intended for recovery (“green list” and waste subject to notification) and waste intended for disposal.

Waste Framework Directive (Directive 2008/98/EC)

It establishes the fundamental concepts and definitions in waste law and promotes the waste hierarchy (prevention, preparation for reuse, recycling, other recovery, disposal).
The generator is responsible for proper disposal. This includes verifying that the disposal operator has the necessary permits for the specific type of waste.
The shipper must ensure that the waste is managed throughout the entire duration of the shipment and during recovery in a manner that does not endanger human health and is environmentally sound. Waste may only be delivered to a recovery facility that holds the appropriate permit or official registration.
These regulations impose a corresponding duty of verification on the shipper.
This corresponds to the producer/owner responsibility under Art. 15(1) of Directive 2008/98/EC on Waste and under § 22 of the Waste Management Act (KrWG). If a verification
is omitted, this constitutes at least a breach of the duty of care.
We hereby confirm that we are legally authorized to carry out recycling in accordance with the European Waste Framework Directive (Directive 2008/98/EC).
